Ryland Arnoldi is an artist based in Venice, California, whose work bridges the time-honored traditions of fine art with the evolving possibilities of modern technology. His practice spans large-scale acrylic paintings, mixed media works, and murals, all of which begin with digital illustrations that serve as the foundation for his compositions. By translating these digitally constructed images into physical works, Arnoldi creates a dialogue between virtual and tactile processes, blending precision with gesture and intuition.

Deeply inspired by the landscapes and lived experiences of California, Arnoldi’s work is rooted in memory—specifically, how places are remembered rather than how they objectively exist. His use of surreal, saturated color reflects his personal perception of these environments, transforming familiar scenes into emotionally charged visual narratives. Each piece becomes an autobiographical exploration, where fragments of place and memory are reassembled into immersive compositions that invite viewers to consider their own relationships to landscape, time, and perception.
